There are many different kinds of abuse…emotional, verbal, physical, sexual, and neglect/abandonment. All of them painful and NONE of them the fault of the abused. The abuser is always the one responsible for their own actions.

Abuse is Mistreatment

Abuse is the mistreatment by one individual that causes harm to another person. Abuse is used for one purpose and one purpose only: to gain and maintain total control over someone else. An abuser doesn’t “play fair.” Abusers use fear, guilt, shame, and intimidation to wear you down and keep you under his or her thumb. HelpGuide.org Sexual abuse and assault is defined as a sexual act committed against someone without that person’s freely given consent. www.RAINN.org

If you have suffered from abuse. We offer many resources to help you process what you have been through and support you as you move forward to healing.
